Sigh. It’s been a while hasn’t it? Definitely longer than I wanted to leave it.
So let me explain. I moved to Bristol. You can read about it in my last post. And then, well, the technology gods struck me down. First, our internet went. Basically the house mate I replaced failed to tell the remaining ones that she was taking the contract with her until she moved. So, we had to sign a new one and wait two weeks until the nice man from NowTV came and hooked us up again. For a house without a TV License that basically meant no internet and no TV, so we watched a LOT of films. But that also meant that I haven’t been able to blog or vlog pretty much since the start of October. Which sucks. A lot has happened that I want to tell you about!
But Hannah, you got your internet back three weeks ago! (I hear you cry). That’s true. But then I was struck down again. My laptop has been a little iffy for more than a few months now, but the day came when it just wouldn’t turn on. God knows what had happened to the poor critter, but all I could tell was that his time had come. That was just under a week from when internet blessed our abode again, and it was a good couple of weeks until payday (and my birthday). So it was more waiting, and more disappointment that I couldn’t keep up with my videos and writings.
Luckily, I got myself down to Currys this week and treated myself (or trat myself as my ex boyfriend used to say…) to a new laptop. And ooh is it shiny! It’s so nice, after months and months of angrily wagging my finger at my slow and breaking laptop, to just be able to whizz through things. Unfortunately, the loss of the laptop did mean the loss of lots of photos and video footage which I’m not going to have to try and rip from other places I might have it stored. Fingers crossed I can do that, and don’t have to redesign a lot of trailers and credit footage!
Anyway, that’s that for now. Hopefully, I’ll have a lovely little blog up about a delightful pizza place at some point…maybe even this weekend! Who knows! (Please no more strikes from the technology gods!)
